My job is to make sure that your written work is accurate, clear and fit for purpose; in other words, it’s ready to meet the eager eyes of your readers.
What Alber Proofreading can do for you
When proofreading your work I’ll be checking that your text is free of errors, consistent, impeccably presented and without ambiguity.
This means finding and resolving:
spelling mistakes
typos
grammatical errors
ambiguities in the text that could mislead your readers
inconsistencies in style and presentation (e.g. headings, page numbers, table layouts, figures and captions, house style)
I am trained in the use of British Standards Institution (BSI) proof-correction marks, Adobe Reader built-in editing tools and ‘Track Changes’ in Microsoft Word so I can complete the proofreading markup however you need.
Pricing
Each project is different and the cost depends on a variety of factors (such as the text’s length and complexity, turnaround time, and the level of intervention required) so please get in touch so we can discuss your requirements.
My hourly rate is £25 but I will always try to work with your budget where possible.
